Rain rain go away.

It is Sunday and the plan was to run down at Clearwater Beach over the two bridges, but with hearing there would be some coastal showers, we decided to go to Safety Harbor and stay safe.  We decided to turn right and go towards Gulf to Bay Blvd and then on the way back cut across to Del Oro Park and run up and over the overpass bridge on McMullen Booth Road, which added a total of 1.5 miles to our run complete run which was 6.50 all together.  I decided since I wasn't doing hills to go ahead and work on my speed intervals again and then a straight run.  Well the rain did hold off and the small bridge was a good hilly challenge to slip in.  There were plenty of fellow runners and bikers on the road.  I am preparing for See the Dog Job, next Sunday in Clearwater, Florida.  It happens to be a 5k which is a great way to start the season.  Can't wait to see how my time is with all the speed intervals I have been working on...  This should be fun I love challenges.  Don't forget to check out the pictures below, we always have a blast when we are running. Tuesday Back to Work

AHH...  Tuesday and it was a cross training day. I did get my butt out of bed and put a disc in the DVD player and hit a 30 minute cardio and 30 minute strength training workout with Real Appeal.  These are DVD's based on a weight lose program, but they are great in helping with my overall training.  There are 5 different levels, and I have made it to level 4 and they really kick my butt.  The cardio and strength training really work your core muscle groups .  I love to sweat... I also dd my regular lunch time workout, I hit the elliptical for 35 minutes and then did some great stretching exercises.  I definitely need to concentrate on the stretching and not getting hurt.  I love that I have the option of working out at lunchtime to add to my overall workout schedule.  These workouts really make me feel great.  I hit the stairclimber for 35 minutes using my Aaptiv app and I also did 9 minutes stretching exercises as well...  I really l...

Under the weather

Hey Everyone, I know its been a few days since I wrote a blog, but starting Monday when I was working out I felt a little under the weather, so I took Tuesday off and rested and listened to my body.  That is the one thing that I have learned about my body when it says rest and take it easy, I rest and take it easy.  I wanted to make sure that I was feeling good for the See the Dog Jog this weekend.  https://www.facebook.com/events/1376549499067676/?fref=ts   I did try and complete a work out on Monday with Aaptiv again and my good friend Rochelle M, she totally rocks the music and the intervals and the workout and general,  lets just saying I know I was in rough shape when I was just walking and I was sweating way more than normal.  I also worked out yesterday with Rochelle M.  I chose a beginner workout with short intervals, again I didn't want to over do it.  Today I decided to try a new trainer Ray Wallace, on the stair climber  let just s...

The Weekend is Almost here......

Hello Everyone,  Its been a few days, you all must know how it is, it is like the entire day goes by and before you know it is time for sleep.  I again went the last few days to the Aaptive app for some additional exercise,  I worked on the stair climber and a strength and toning exercise that covers the entire body.  I am loving getting the extra workouts in along with my running.  Hoping to start getting those weekday early morning runs in so I can balance everything out again.  Today's workout was a killer I did the Aaptiv App with Rochelle M. and it was intervals from as low as 5 miles per hour to 7 miles per hour, I am amazed at how far I have come with my personal running goals.  I so can't wait for the Hooters to Hooters 10k on September 10, 2017....  Definitely hoping to hit a really good time with this race.  The last few days I also played witth Athlinks the https://athlinks.com, and I was able to all those local races, that I ...
